About the role

As Business Manager, you will be responsible for launching and establishing the new Goulburn branch in the local market.

You will drive new business, build a sustainable customer base, develop customer relationships, and create the branch routines, standards, and sales activity needed to support long-term performance.

This role will suit someone who is comfortable being highly visible with customers and the team. You will need to balance commercial drive with practical branch execution, ensuring the branch performs across sales, service, operations, safety, and team accountability.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Launching and establishing the new branch in the local market

  • Driving new business and building a sustainable customer base

  • Developing sales pipeline, customer call cycles, and conversion activity

  • Building strong local relationships through face-to-face customer engagement and networking

  • Leading branch trading performance across revenue, margin, growth, and customer mix

  • Recruiting, leading, and developing a capable, customer-focused team

  • Setting clear expectations around activity, service, accountability, and follow-through

  • Maintaining strong branch standards across operations, service, safety, and team performance

  • Using data, reporting, and branch routines to drive focus and results

About you

You are a hands-on branch leader with a strong sales growth mindset.

You are not reliant on passive trade or inherited volume. You know how to create opportunities, pursue new business, build customer loyalty, and drive branch performance in a visible and practical way.

You will likely bring:

  • Proven leadership experience in a branch, business unit, or similar operational sales environment

  • Strong new business capability and a track record of sales growth

  • Commercial acumen with experience managing performance, margin, and branch outcomes

  • A visible leadership style and the ability to motivate and coach a team day to day

  • Confidence building customer relationships and influencing commercial outcomes

  • Experience in trade, plumbing, industrial, wholesale, or distribution environments, which will be highly regarded
